Indigenous Services

Picture
With 20+ years working with Indigenous (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) clients throughout Canada, The Boreal Centre For Dispute Resolution has proven experience analyzing and addressing deep-rooted conflicts, including Aboriginal and Treaty Rights issues, in a culturally appropriate manner.

Whether the issue is a community-based or organizational conflict, or a complex multi-party resource development issue with implications for Aboriginal or Treaty rights, we have the expertise to assist the parties to reach a resolution. All services are provided on the basis of in-depth client and project assessments.

The Boreal Centre for Dispute Resolution views  conflicts over lands and resources from historical, legal and cultural perspectives, and attempt to bring parties to a deeper understanding of the issues through dialogue, inclusion, and collaborative decision making, while recognizing the inherent structural power imbalances that exist in the colonial context.
